My business career began in 1973 as the co-owner of a business selling screen-printed T-shirts at Seattle's Pike Place Market. The next ten years were exciting, painful, and an incredible introduction to the challenge of owning a business. The hardest lesson I learned was that I don't know everything. The best lesson I learned was that I really love accounting.

So... in 1983, I earned my BA in Business Administration from Seattle University, worked with some great people, became a CPA, opened my own public accounting practice in 1990, and earned my MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2004.

And then in 2005.

Asked if she could join the firm. Leslie is my daughter and we like working together. It doesn't get much better than this.

Leslie says, 'Every day provides opportunities to learn, grow, and share with people that are important to me. Besides, two heads are better than one.' She is absolutely right - two heads are better.

Leslie earned her BA in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2005 and also earned an Undergraduate Accounting Certificate from City University of Seattle in 2009. She is planning to sit for the CPA exam in 2012.
